Overview
Support the Health & Safety team in administering project management processes on the Main Works Contract for the HS2 London Tunnels Contract, delivered by Skanska, Costain and STRABAG.
Responsibilities
- Manage the online H&S reporting database(s) and produce reports to HS2 and the two Principal Contractors.
- Set up and manage the induction process using the Contract Passport system, Training and Close Call/Inspection databases.
- Construct, collate and maintain the SHE training matrix for the site.
- Run, export and analyse reports as required.
- Transfer data into Excel to create graphs, charts and dashboards.
- Maintain the accident, incident and observation registers.
- Keep induction, training records and close call records current and accurate.
- Maintain other files or records as deemed necessary by the H&S Team.
- Act as the focal point for the occupational health provider and liaise with the contract accountants.
- Organise random drug & alcohol tests for site and office staff through the Contract Occupational Health provider.
- Perform any other administrative duties assigned by the H&S Manager.
- Ensure that client and joint‑venture partners’ environmental, sustainability and statutory requirements are implemented as required.
Qualifications
- Experience using databases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and general IT.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Good telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Meeting of the minimum job criteria and person specification for the role.
