We are seeking a full-time Risk Manager to join our team in a hybrid role, based in London & Suffolk (with travel as required), with the flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and strengthening risk management practices across a complex, large-scale project. Reporting to a Senior Risk Manager, the successful candidate will support the delivery and continuous improvement of all PMO risk management processes. This includes helping to embed and maintain effective risk practices across delivery programmes, while ensuring that controls are implemented and operated in line with the established governance structure, organisational framework, delivery model and functional standards.
The post holder will also help ensure that PMO risk activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with agreed reporting cadences, milestones and other reporting deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large-scale project environment and be comfortable collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Support with tasks directed by the Senior Risk Manager, and the ability to deputise at key delivery programmemeetings.
- Planning & co-ordination of risk activities such as EAC update, ERRpreparation, Integrated-QRA development etc.
- Progress reporting including monthly risk dashboard updates, forecast tocomplete, variance identification, delivery process insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Potentially coaching and line management of Assistant Risk Managers/ Graduates/ Apprentices as required.
- Good facilitation skills; able to independently facilitate workshops within programme.
- Good technical skills; able to independently deliver QRAs, spanning Cost QRAs and Schedule QRAs.
- Linked capability to integrate/ support breadth of project controls/ project delivery/ business support processes (e.g. Finance).
- Good engagement skills; able to independently engage teams of:
- Range of project and corporate professionals.
- Project management and broader project controls experience desirable.
- Good in-depth relevant sector experience/ broader sector experience.
- Possible risk management/ other technical/ capital-intensive sector-specific management qualifications.
