Job Title: Site Based Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver large‑scale refurbishment and fit‑out projects across industrial and storage unit environments. Projects are delivered nationwide, and the successful candidate must be comfortable with UK‑wide travel. This role involves end‑to‑end management of complex construction projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and client representatives to ensure safe, timely, and high‑quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the management and delivery of refurbishment and new build projects valued between £8 m‑£20 m
• Manage projects typically lasting 36‑42 weeks
• Oversee site operations, including direct management of an on‑site manager
• Act as the primary point of contact on site, liaising closely with client representatives and stakeholders
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Attend and contribute to fortnightly resource planning meetings, discussing labour and resource requirements
• Ensure all health & safety, compliance, and reporting requirements are met
• Provide regular progress updates to senior management

• Nationwide locations including the South East, Midlands, London, and wider UK

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday (07:30 – 17:00)

Salary & Package

• Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
• Car allowance
• Food allowance
• Hotel accommodation covered when working away

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale refurbishment or fit‑out projects across industrial and distribution units
• Strong background in industrial or commercial construction environments
• Comfortable managing teams and working autonomously on site
• Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the UK
• Strong communication and client‑facing skills
