Injection Moulding Tool Maintenance Engineer

An established UK manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Injection Mould Tool Maintenance Engineer to support its plastic manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and improving injection mould tools to ensure safe operation, consistent product quality, and high production uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on injection mould tools.
• Prepare and ensure mould tools are in optimal condition for production.
• Liaise with the processing team to identify and resolve tooling issues.
• Investigate faults, determine root causes, and communicate findings effectively.
• Maintain spare parts and equipment to minimise downtime and reduce repair times.

Skills & Experience

• Completed a recognised toolmaker apprenticeship (or equivalent) with experience in injection mould tooling.
• Experience in manual machining, including milling, turning (lathes), and surface grinding.
• Strong bench fitting skills.
• Experience supporting production tooling, including breakdown response and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.
