An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Support Manager to oversee the operations and ensure the highest standards of care across our various care homes in the South of England. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with an active NMC pin.
- Experience in a managerial position within a similar client group.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership and management, including ensuring the recruitment of key roles and training them appropriately. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that aligns with the vision and values of the service.
- Recruit, train, and mentor care home managers and staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Monitor and manage the financial and business performance of the homes, including budgeting, financial reporting, and business development; identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure that the homes comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards; implement action plans to maintain compliance and manage risks.
- Maintain and enhance the quality of care and environment provided to residents. Monitor and evaluate care delivery processes and outcomes and implement improvements as needed to ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to ensure effective communication and collaboration; address and resolve concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Implement performance monitoring and reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing a care home or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the care home industry.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of best practices in quality care and environment for elderly residents.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
The successful Support Manager will receive an excellent salary of GBP50,000 per annum (DOE). This permanent full‑time role works 40 hours a week from 9am‑5pm.
