Global Head of Operations – WPP Production
We are seeking a hands‑on Global Head of Ops to drive world‑class operating systems across HEX Studios partnering with AI‑powered production talent globally. This high‑impact, senior‑level role blends tools, strategic thinking, commercial planning and leadership to shape the future operations of our global frontier studio set‑up.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain programme governance and controls for HEX studio implementation, ensuring smooth execution, facilitating knowledge sharing and proactively addressing risks.
- Manage the delivery of programmes for global clients such as Adobe.
- Develop frameworks, processes and best practices to enable the successful global rollout of HEX.
- Ensure HEX are operationally set up for success by developing resourcing plans, securing commercial approvals and coordinating resource requests with cross‑functional teams.
- Provide global guidance on planning, execution and delivery of work worldwide.
- Assist global teams in identifying risks and issues during execution and provide support on mitigation strategies.
- Line‑manage PM Leads and resource managers.
- Recruit, coach, manage performance and retain team talent.
- Manage team capacity and resourcing challenges, developing innovative solutions.
- Oversee profitability, ensuring alignment with WPP’s global production strategy.
- Secure commercial approvals needed for additional resources for programmes.
- Act as a point of escalation for senior client services teams and direct clients.
- Triage incoming requests from agency partners/WPP and ensure project management resources are in place for end‑to‑end pilot delivery.
- Work with global digital operations and production leads to embrace and implement HEX’s vision and strategy.
- Provide new‑business support, working on relevant pitches and RFPs.
Role Requirements
- Wealth experience in project, operations and programme management roles, with a significant focus on AI and emerging technology.
- Proven experience managing large, complex, global operations.
- Strong understanding of digital production processes and technologies.
- Experience establishing and implementing programme governance frameworks.
- Excellent people‑management skills with a proven track record of building and developing high‑performing teams.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex issues.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Experience with new‑business development and RFP responses.
