Job Description:

Senior / Staff Brand Designer – Motion & Video

Location: Victoria Station, London, UK

Work style: Full-time, in-office 4 days/week

Package: £80,000 – £100,000

Our client is a fast-growing global fintech solving unique problems in the finance industry.

This is an opportunity to join a company in an exciting phase of growth and evolution, offering a rare opportunity to shape its brand, influence creative direction, and help define how it shows up on a global stage. You’ll join a small team of industry-leading design professionals who have worked at companies such as Meta and Google.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior / Staff Brand Designer to set the bar for motion and video

storytelling. You’ll create premium work that pushes our visual brand language

into the motion space. With a focus on making complex ideas feel clear, modern and

human – you’ll own everything from product explainers and launch films to customer

stories, website motion and social-first edits.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone with strong creative leadership and

a clear urge to push things forward. You’ll own high-impact projects end-to-end,

influence direction through your craft and storytelling instincts and help define how

motion shows up across our ecosystem – from website and campaigns to product

surfaces and always-on channels. You’ll also help build the patterns, templates and

workflows that enable motion to scale with consistency.

This role is based in London, UK, in a hybrid work environment requiring being in-office 4

days per week.

Responsibilities

You will:

● Lead motion and video work for major launches and storytelling moments – owning

projects from concept, scripting and storyboarding through animation, editing,

sound and final delivery.

● Bring strong narrative thinking – shaping structure, pacing and clarity by stitching

together interviews, product capture, voiceover, typography, graphics and music.

● Create high-quality storytelling content across formats – product explainers,

launch videos, customer case studies, campaigns and short-form social.

● Design with multi-platform support in mind, ensuring outputs scale across website,

product surfaces, social channels, YouTube, CRM and presentations without losing

intent or quality.

● Define and evolve how motion shows up in the brand – establishing principles,

patterns and reusable templates that help teams ship consistent, premium motion.

● Partner with Brand, Marketing, Product and Design leadership to shape briefs,

align stakeholders and ensure storytelling maps to business goals.

● Raise the craft bar through hands-on work, critique and mentorship –

strengthening motion capability across the team without direct line management.

● Build scalable production workflows – including guidance on process, versioning,

specs, review loops and partner management when using external studios.

● Drive experimentation with new tools and AI-enabled workflows that improve

quality, speed and iteration and help the team adopt what works.

● Bring clarity to ambiguity, making smart trade-offs that protect the core story while

maintaining pace.

You will have:

● 7+ years of experience creating motion design and video work (in-house, startup,

agency or studio, or a combination).

● A portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and storytelling – including launch

work, explainers, brand motion, social edits and customer stories.

● Strong motion fundamentals – timing, pacing, composition, typography and visual

hierarchy – with a clear creative point of view.

● Proven ability to take projects from idea to finished output, navigating ambiguity,

feedback and tight timelines with confidence.

● Experience setting a quality bar and scaling output through reusable templates,

systems and process improvements.

● Strong cross-functional leadership through influence – able to align stakeholders,

shape briefs and make decisions that move work forward.

● Strong production judgement – balancing ambition with constraints and knowing

what to simplify to ship without losing quality.

● A learning mindset toward evolving workflows – including comfort adopting new

tools and AI-enabled processes where they meaningfully improve outcomes.

● Ideally, some experience in fintech or financial services (or similarly complex or

regulated domains), with an interest in simplifying complex ideas through motion

and video.

Benefits:

• Pension scheme (5% employee, 7% employer contribution)

• 26 days of holiday

• Professional development budget

• Eye test vouchers

• Cycle to work scheme

• Comprehensive private healthcare

• Employee Assistance Programme
