Camden Learning, a schools‑led partnership between Camden schools and Camden Council, launched in 2017 to drive improvement for all through its STEAM programme. The STEAM Programme Officer will support the delivery of the Camden STEAM Work Experience Programme, working closely with schools, employers and partners to create high‑quality career and work‑experience opportunities for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the Camden STEAM Work Experience Programme (June–July 2026), ensuring successful delivery of placements, documentation, logistics and safeguarding.
- Coordinate with schools and employers to confirm placements and ensure readiness, including liaising with an external partner responsible for application and data management.
- Maintain accurate records of placements, partners and event logistics.
- Plan and support key Camden STEAM events such as Primary Careers Day, T‑Level celebrations and other activities, including venue arrangements, schedules, materials, health and safety and operational planning.
- Assist with maintaining and expanding the STEAM Pledge network of employers, researching potential partners and managing communications.
- Manage data and programme administration, updating databases, spreadsheets and reporting systems to support monitoring and impact assessment.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating projects, programmes or events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and quick learning of new IT systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a good standard of English and Maths.

- Experience working with young people in educational, youth work or community settings.
- Knowledge of careers education, work experience or skills programmes.
