An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hands‑on Production Manager to join a growing manufacturing environment within the heavy equipment sector. This is a key leadership role overseeing final assembly operations while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the final assembly of heavy manufacturing equipment
• Supervise and coordinate factory and assembly teams, promoting a lean and safety‑first culture
• Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to ensure deadlines are met
• Work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to keep production plans on target
• Ensure production outputs meet strict quality standards and dispatch requirements
• Implement, optimise, and continuously improve production processes
• Support the rollout and integration of MRP / production systems
• Monitor production performance and identify efficiency and cost‑saving improvements
• Chair daily and weekly production meetings and deliver toolbox talks
• Develop and implement quality vision, policies, and procedures aligned with ISO standards
• Design, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance checks
• Manage NCRs, CAPA, and corrective action processes
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and records

Requirements

• Proven experience in production or manufacturing management within heavy engineering
• Strong hands‑on leadership style with a solutions‑focused mindset
• Experience working in lean manufacturing environments with a strong focus on Health & Safety
• Confident using or implementing MRP / ERP systems
